Stamping

Today I found a good page on the Facebook. Just check it, I think worth it!:-)

mycraftchannelblog.blogspot.com
My Craft Channel is the first of it’s kind online TV Craft Network. It goes beyond the simple web “how-to” home video and delivers broadcast quality programming. With over 20 different new shows there is something for everyone.

... I made some cards, but I wasn't able to write my blog. The school year was ended and I gave some card and handcrafted stuff for my son's teachers and helpers. I did some similar, but a little bit different cards, like these:

These cards made with "Thank you" cuttlebug embossing folder and some embellishements.

These two cards for music teachers,

and these for the crossing guard ladies:-)

I made some post-it notes holder for the first five card:

I used acrylic photo frames, heat embossed the stamps.

And this Thank you card for a nice parent, who helped us to remember the school stuffs during the year:-)

The beautiful stamp was coloring and glittered.

The other cards what I was behind to post will come in soon.:-)

New cards

Tha last couple of days I was very creativ:-) I have birthdays, so I made two masculin birthday card and almost first time I made a card much earlier, when I need for it:-) I created a nice (honestly saying my "masterpiece" till today:-) Father's Day card for my dear husband.

So, the first card made from blue cardstocks, decorated with a spellbinder cut out red round piece and a design from the Home Accent cricut cartridge.
I embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment with Martha Stewart gold embossing powder.

The other birthday card made from Tim Holtz ideo-logy Retro paper, embellished with embossed poker card design by Tim Holtz. Tha Happy Birthday sentiment embossed with Martha Stewart bronze embossing powder. This is an easel type card.
This card inspired the third one, the Father's Day card.:-)

It's made from Tim Holtz Retro ideo-logy paper, used the different design and plain color side too. The dry embossed designs from Tim Holtz, retro collection and steam and clockwork A2 folders. The upper left side I put some cord.
After embossing I used the sandpaper, this made the white colors on the paper.
The sentiment embossed with Martha Stewart gold embossing powder, decorated with Fiskars corner punch and Imaginisce Glam Rocks metallic pearls.
So, what I wrote earlier, I think this is my best work for this day:-) I like the colors and the designs. Actually I just got my embossing folders a day ago, but I know I will love them, same than the other two TH folder, the bricks and woods pattern!:-)

The time is running ....

... and I was away my blog for a long time, for a month.
I made this card for my son's birthday, he was 7 at 14th.
He likes trains very much, and I bought this stamp at
 Oregon in the spring holiday:-)

I made some cards for Easter (in the last moments:-(  and a few others, too.
For Easter I tried new ideas, what I saw on youtube (slide card, swing card), but most of it were easel type. I love this form, because it's very decorativ and easy to display them.

I made two Mother's day cards for my mom and my mother-in-low, I think two best of my works, unfortunatelly I forget to take pictures from them:-(

A hard week ...

The week start was quite good, I made a nice anniversary card for my husband (our anniversary was on Wendesday). P prepared a good day, just something happend, an accident:-( Tuesday afternoon  I was in a higher sole slipper and after a bad step my feet went out,:-(, so I couldn't step on my left feet. It was swollen, color and painful:-( I'm very lucky, because I have great friends and aquintences, I got lots of help. Well, now , when I'm a little bit better, I started to make thank you cards for these nice people.:-)
Thursday I decided should be good if I show my feet a doctor, who sent me an x-ray. It was a relife, when they said I have no broken bones! Just I can't walk normally for a few days more:-)
Today (Saturday actually) we invited for a birthday party, unfortunatelly we couldn't go, but I made a masculin birthday card, what I going to send in mail.

Craft show in Abbotsford

Today I had a great program. After I take down my son at the shcool, I went to a craft show with my friend and her mother. Lots of great stuff were there. I most of interested about cardmaking, scrapbooking accessories, but I saw beautiful quilts and amazing embroidery machines (with unbeliavable prices:-).
Oh, and the aprons! They have a competion for aprons inspired by night!:-) Such a great works!
I get a few new stamps  (from Stattered Angels) that were a good bargain! and paper embellishments, like ABC-s and sentiments booklet.
Actually last week was the spring break and our family went to Anaheim, we took a short visit in Disneyland. When we drove through Oregon, I bought some stamps and cardstocks there, too. The prices were great and the papers are beautiful. Yesterday I start to clean up my craft room and I have to make some eastern card very soon.:-)

I made a Thank you card for a nice lady, she help us while we were on haliday. I used two of my new stamps and just embossed them.

Archive

I would like to share some oldies from my work (I made them before started my blog:-)

One of my favorite a small "book" type card (I learnt from my friend Gaby, she is amazing crafter!:-).
I made this for my husband for Valentine's Day.
Isn't cute?:-)

I like to make the easel cards, because they are very attractiv, I think. Here is some example:

Specially for these cards I used two or three different idea from videos, and gave to them some own idea (honestly saying I just discovered accidently:-)
I like to watch videos on the youtube, lots of interesting thing are there:-) I learnt a lot from them.

So, one idea was the easel type and the small size (the folded card size is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2). An other idea was the double embossing (very decorativ). The own invention, that the flower embossing folder size is great for this card size, and this piece, what I had to cut down the bottom, exactly good for the base, so when the card is open, can see the whole picture:-)
Tha double embossing mean embossing in two steps. First embossing the background (in this case the plant design from cuttlebug), after have to sanding the top. Put in the flower design folder (from cuttletbug) and embossing. After sanding a little bit. Cut for the right size and gluing. The smaller piece from the embossed paper bottom is good for the base, mounting with foam mounting, enough high for stuck the top side when open it.

New cards

This weekend I made two new cards, both of two were for birthday. One of them for a seven year old boy, my son's classmates. I choose the "waterfall" type card and  green colors. This is the result:
I learnt how to make this type of card from a youtube video tutorial. It's much easier to  make than seems.:-) That I embossed the background, was my idea:-)
The other card for my Mom's birthday. This is a stamped and heat embossod, colored "easel" type card, I love this, because it's very decorativ to put out around the house. (Picture coming a little bit later:-)

How I started it

I think I started my craft life when I was preschooler:-) I loved to draw pictures, later I was stitching little decorations, cutting and gluing what I could through my school life. After a long time while the work was the first in my life, I used to my creativ side in the offices. But it is a different story:-) So after I married, have a son and came to Canada, I discovered the opportunities the wide range of handmade things. I love to make gifts for my family and friends. I hope they like either;-)
So I'm reading lots of different blogs about cardmaking, scrapbooking and many many interesting activity.
I have a gallery from my crafts

I tought  should try to share with the world (how big words!:-)  my works and how I made them. Well, lets go!

Oh, one more thing! I'm an ESL person, with very few practice opportunity, so if I make mistakes grammatical or my draft is not good, please forgive me!:-)
